LKA or LDW

Lane Keep Assist is a system that is designed to keep the vehicle in the designated lane while driving.

For some vehicles, there are multiple settings the driver can use which alter the way Lane Keep Assist works.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

A warning will sound and a visual alert will flash on the dashboard when a vehicle departs its lane.

Standard Lane Keep Assist

The system will control and correct the steering if the vehicle departs its lane, this will only operate when both lane markings are detected.  A warning may sound and a visual alert may flash on the dashboard at the same time.

Active Lane Keep Assist

The system will control the steering to ensure the vehicle remains centred within the lane, this will only operate when both lane markings are detected.

We recommend that you keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times while driving. Lane Keep Assist is not designed to be an autopilot feature.
